I have played piano since the 1950’s and have played bass and guitar since the 1960’s.  I began studying piano and music theory in 1958 at the Cleveland Music School Settlement. After five years, I took private lessons for piano and continued to study theory in high school, including composition. I also was section leader in the Cleveland Heights High School choir, and student conductor for one semester. Around that time I began learning guitar and bass and began performing professionally. In college, at Miami University (Ohio), I also studied theory and composition, and earned a BA in Psychology and Political Science (1971). I have played professionally on a part time basis and maintain my reading and playing skills by continuously learning new music.

I taught private lessons through a music center in Calvert County from 2002 until 2008. I have taught piano and guitar lessons from my home, on a part time basis. Currently I am composing and recording original music for a stage musical. I also play in several groups and as a solo act. I am married and have lived in Calvert County since 1985. My two daughters have gone through Calvert County schools and Towson University. The youngest graduated from Towson Spring, 2009.
